Tonal degradations of natural dyes in Andean weaves caused by electric shocks
When dyes traditionally used for Andean weaves, are applied on a textile surface, and are affected by controlled electrical impulses, a type of chromatography is generated, where the chromatic spectrum that composes them is revealed. Each dye will react differently to the same impulse. Generating the tonal degradations that characterize the Andean weaves, known as “k`isa” or “paciña“.
